Grass Keep at Newlands Farm Stud - with direct access onto the New Forest National Park. You can ride in straight out into extensive and gorgeous countryside. We have 75 acres of grazing - all well-drained level fields with plenty of natural shelter from oak trees. All our farm paddocks and fields are highly maintained by our specialist contractor, who arrange the re-seeding, rolling, topping, weed-spraying and chain-harrowing as necessary, to ensure excellent grassland management all year round.

Hay is fed through the winter from December until end of March. Extra Forage Option of constant hay / haylage feeding.

The Grass Kept horses are in fields with world-leading equine electric tape fences.  The fields are between 2 and 10 acres.  They live in groups of between 3 - 8 horses, keeping mares and geldings seperately to avoid disagreements!  They are also put in groups depending on their condition, breeding + size.  The Thoroughbreds who live out need much more grass than the ponies, and therefore may live together in one group.
